Home is the most powerful place faith formation happens, and family relationships (however you define them) are the most influential relationships in forming faith.
Individuals might spend one to three hours at various congregational events (worship, education time, choir, etc.), but they will probably spend several times that at home.
A congregation’s responsibility, at least in part, is to provide individuals and families the training and resources they need to promote Christian faith formation at home.
Pandemic Response
Faith formation at home and as a family has always been a priority for us here at Spirit & Truth Publishing, but the COVID-19 pandemic has shown us the need for resources to continue structured faith formation time when we cannot meet face to face. This led us to create two new curriculum products and reminded us of the importance of one of our traditional home resources.
