Whether you are looking for a Revised Common Lectionary curriculum to fit in while adults are listening to the sermon, special focus activities for children’s church, or somewhere else that you need only one, two, or three activities, Living the Word: Kids Mini Lessons (RCL) are perfect for you!
Inspired by our popular Living the Word: Cross+Gen Education (RCL) and our awesome Living the Word: Classroom (PK-2nd) and Living the Word: Classroom (3rd-6th) elementary-age curricula, these Mini Lessons give you the main story-focus activity for each lesson along with two additional activities to reinforce the learning with a simple craft, game, or more!
This digital product is available for the entire Revised Common Lectionary Years A & B (2026-2027). Select Fall, Winter, Spring, or save by purchasing the Full Year!
Do you want all the households in your congregation to engage in faith formation all week long? Our new Taking Faith Home: Program Year (RCL, 2026-2027) is a faith-at-home devotional resource often distributed to households as a worship bulletin insert. This can also function as a take-home from Sunday school!
Notes:
- Fall & Winter Lessons Only– At this time, only fall and winter lessons (9/13/2026-2/7/2027) are available. See the note on Release Dates below for more information.
- Release Dates– Lessons are published by quarter. The spring 2027 quarter will be available by the end of summer. Please see our Release Dates page for up-to-date information. Customers will receive emails once the quarters are available for download.
- Download Instructions- All products are digital files and can be downloaded from your Customer Account after your order has been paid for and the lessons have been published online (see our Release Dates page for details). - Extended Lesson– One lesson within this curriculum is an Extended Lesson. The lesson for 4/4/2027 (Easter & Easter 2) covers two Bible passages, as we do not have a full, individual lesson for Easter Sunday (3/28/2027). The extended lesson has been lengthened to have enough teaching material to cover two classes for those who want to use it both weeks.
