- Extended Lessons- Two lessons within this curriculum are Extended Lessons. The lesson for 1/3/2027 (Christmas 2) covers two Bible passages, as we do not have a full, individual lesson for the Sunday between Christmas and New Year’s (12/27/2026). The lesson for 4/4/2027 (Easter & Easter 2) also covers two Bible passages, as we do not have a full, individual lesson for Easter Sunday (3/28/2027). These extended lessons have been lengthened to have enough teaching material to cover two classes for those who want to use them in both weeks.

As the youth director, I’ve been looking for a well-rounded, modern, engaging Bible curriculum to use. I very much enjoy the Living the Word: Youth curriculum, both for its ease of use and adaptability. As a Methodist, I find the principles right in line with our own.
Adrienne Monahan, Holt United Methodist Church, Holt, MI
The Living the Word Narrative Lectionary youth materials are so creative, hands-on and connect to the biblical story. And my people are getting it! Exciting faith formation is taking place. This is what I’ve dreamed being a pastor would look like.
