Living the Word: Cross+Gen Education – Revised Common Lectionary (2021-2022)
Explore God’s Word together in the classroom through the Revised Common Lectionary.
The cross+generational ministry model found in our Living the Word: Cross+Gen Education (Narrative Lectionary) is also available for the Revised Common Lectionary (RCL)!
The Revised Common Lectionary is one of the most popular lectionaries in the world. A major strength of this calendar of Bible readings is its emphasis on celebrating the various seasons and festivals of the church (or liturgical) year.
This curriculum has a dual focus on the assigned Gospel reading and the church festival or season that Sunday falls within. Each lesson also includes at least one activity covering either the Old Testament or New Testament additional readings (first or second readings).
This digital product is available for the entire 2021-2022 program year (RCL Years B & C). Select Fall, Winter, Spring, or save by purchasing the Full Year! You can even purchase Single Lessons to create a schedule that meets your unique needs. Be sure to download our free Cross+Gen Groupings Guide to help you divide into cross+generational small groups!
Notes:

- Extended Lesson- Two lessons within this curriculum are Extended Lessons. The first extended lesson is on Palm Sunday (4/10/2022) and covers also the events of Holy Week. Then, as we do not produce a full lesson for Easter Sunday (4/17/2022), we include the readings and celebration of that day into the following week’s lesson. The lesson is longer, which gives leaders the option to use the lesson fruitfully both weeks, select activities to cover both passages in the same class, or only use the readings for Easter 2 (4/24/2022).
